On the Level

We can precision level your machine tool.

A level machine is critical to maintaining tight tolerances. Whether you are setting down new machines, or moving old ones, you want to be sure they are properly leveled before putting them in production. Often, the ground below a machine can shift and settle, requiring re-leveling of machines that have been in production for years. If you are cutting a taper or having other machining problems, it may not be machine alignment. Your machine may simply be out of level.

Memory loss on a machine tool is a potential nightmare. Are your programs backed up? How about your work offsets? Is your parameter backup up to date? Do you have a hard copy of critical parameters and options? Does the OEM keep a backup copy of parameters for your machine? Regularly scheduled battery replacement can be the proverbial “ounce of prevention” that saves you from those nasty parity alarms after a holiday weekend.

Cooling fans are installed in controls, drives, electrical cabinets, and motors for good reason, without them, things overheat and fail. Replace those fans and beat the heat. Don’t forget to inspect the air filters and heat exchangers as well.
